Privacy Policy
LOCK-IN is a personal nutrition, weight/body-progress, routine, mission, focus, and workout tracker for Android. We do not sell personal data or use advertising networks.

| Body progress | Weight, measurements, notes | Device |
| Body photos | Front, side, and back photos you deliberately take | Private app storage on this device only |
| Life tracking | Missions, check-ins, slips, streaks, A/B routines, season status | Device |
| Focus Gate | Consent, selected package names, wake hour, emergency pause | Device only |
| Workouts | Plans, exercises, sessions, sets, reps, timers, pain check-ins | Device |
| Account and billing | Email/display name if signed in; subscription state | Firebase Authentication and Google Play |
| Diagnostics | Crash or aggregate usage events | Firebase only if you opt in |
We do not collect contacts, precise location, calendars, the advertising ID, or card numbers. Google Play processes payments.
Photos, audio, AI, and Focus Gate
- Body photos remain local, are excluded from cloud sync and JSON export, and are removed by photo deletion or a full data wipe.
- Meal photos are resized for requested analysis. A cloud copy is stored only for an eligible signed-in premium account where that feature applies.
- Voice is captured only after you tap record, sent for transcription, and not continuously monitored.
- AI requests can include submitted text/photo/audio and the minimum relevant profile or log context. They pass through Firebase Cloud Functions to OpenAI.
- Focus Gate uses Android Accessibility only after prominent consent. It observes the foreground package name; it does not read screen text, tap buttons, record the screen, or send app-use events off-device. Protected system/emergency apps remain available, the gate fails open, and emergency pause is available.

Storage, controls, and deletion
Structured local data uses Android app-sandboxed Room/SQLite. Android backup is disabled. Cloud data is scoped to the authenticated user and network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. No system is perfectly secure.
- Access/copy: Request a copy of supported account data through the privacy email; body-photo bytes and private paths are excluded.
- Correct/delete: Edit entries, delete individual photos/logs, or use account/data deletion for a local wipe and supported cloud deletion.
- Permissions: Revoke camera, microphone, notifications, or Accessibility in Android Settings.
- Diagnostics: Analytics and crash reporting are off until you opt in.
LOCK-IN is not directed to children under 13, or the higher local minimum age. Email davidkoba40@gmail.com with subject “Privacy request” for access/deletion help.
Terms of Service
By using LOCK-IN, you agree to these terms. LOCK-IN is a personal tracker with optional AI and optional keto tracking; it is not a medical device, emergency service, dietitian, therapist, or physical therapist.
License and acceptable use
You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license for lawful personal use on devices you own or control. Do not redistribute the app, extract credentials, evade quotas/subscriptions, interfere with the service, or submit illegal or unauthorized private content.
The optional exercise data in the personal build is MIT-licensed data from hasaneyldrm/exercises-dataset. Third-party exercise media is not bundled or licensed by us for redistribution.
Health and safety
Food/photo values, calorie targets, adaptive expenditure, coaching, missions, and workouts can be wrong. Verify important nutrition information. Stop exercise for sharp, worsening, or radiating pain. New weakness, numbness, saddle-area symptoms, bowel/bladder changes, chest pain, or other urgent symptoms require appropriate medical care. People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, minors, at eating-disorder risk, medically complex, or taking relevant medicines should use clinician-set targets.
AI, Focus Gate, and subscriptions
- AI can hallucinate. Review every generated meal or workout before using it. AI needs an eligible server-verified tier and is subject to daily caps, provider availability, abuse controls, and model fallback.
- Focus Gate is a voluntary self-management aid, not parental control or security software. Android or user action can bypass or interrupt it; never depend on it for safety.
- Public subscriptions are processed by Google Play and may auto-renew as shown on the purchase screen. Cancellation and refunds follow Google Play and applicable law.
Service and liability
Features may change for safety, law, provider changes, maintenance, or abuse prevention. To the extent allowed by law, LOCK-IN is provided “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted operation or accurate outcomes. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss from estimates, AI output, exercise choices, reminders, Focus Gate behavior, or data loss. Aggregate liability is limited to the greater of USD $50 or the amount paid in the preceding 12 months where law permits.
Sources, calculations & accuracy
Food values
Food data can be marked as a package label, manual entry, live USDA FoodData Central result, or AI estimate. USDA per-100 g values are scaled to the selected serving and retain the FDC ID. The current app build uses USDA's public rate-limited demonstration access, so search can temporarily refuse requests. The app records source and confidence; AI values are editable and are never claimed as database-verified. Mixed dishes, restaurants, and unclear photos can be substantially inaccurate.
Energy is cross-checked with macronutrient factors. Total carbohydrate, fibre, and identified polyols are preserved so optional keto net-carb math does not silently replace total carbohydrates.
Starting calorie target
LOCK-IN uses the Mifflin-St Jeor resting-energy equation:
- Male reference:
10 × kg + 6.25 × cm − 5 × age + 5 - Female reference:
10 × kg + 6.25 × cm − 5 × age − 161
The result is multiplied by the selected activity factor. The selected weekly goal-rate percentage becomes a daily energy adjustment with minimum-intake and maximum-deficit/surplus guardrails. Example: male reference, 28 years, 185.42 cm, 83 kg, moderate activity, and 0.5% body weight loss per week produces approximately 1,854 kcal BMR → 2,874 kcal starting TDEE → 2,417 kcal target.
An adaptive TDEE estimate is displayed only after enough recent, plausible weight and intake records exist. Scale noise, missing food, water shifts, and inaccurate logging still affect it; it is not a metabolic-chamber measurement.
Micronutrients and safety
Reference targets vary by age, sex, and pregnancy/lactation state where supported. Sodium is presented as an upper-limit style target. Values are based on general NIH/FDA references and are not treatment or supplement prescriptions.
AI policy
The current efficient text/vision configuration requests OpenAI GPT-5.6 Luna with reasoning effort set to none, with a controlled fallback when unavailable. Audio uses a separate transcription model. Every AI feature has a server-enforced daily cap based on the verified account tier; premium does not mean unlimited requests.
